Oborevwori felicitates Delta Assembly Speaker On Emergence As Chairman of National Conference of State Speakers

Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, has been elected Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.

Guwor emerged from the Conference’s General Meeting in Abuja on Monday. His election elevates Delta State to a key leadership position in Nigeria’s state-level legislative affairs.

In a congratulatory statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori hailed the development as “well-deserved.” The governor credited Guwor’s legislative experience, leadership qualities, and commitment to democratic governance for the recognition.

Governor Oborevwori, a former Speaker of the Delta State Assembly who once served as Deputy Chairman of the same Conference, emphasized the body’s strategic role in fostering cooperation among state legislatures and advancing good governance.

He stated that Guwor’s election reflects the maturity and progressive outlook of the Delta State legislature. The governor expressed confidence that Guwor would provide inclusive and reform-driven leadership, strengthening synergy between state assemblies and other government arms for national development.
