DSC Flyover Nears Completion, Inspection Shows

Delta State officials have inspected the nearly finished DSC Roundabout Flyover in Effurun, saying it is 98% complete.

The inspection team, led by Works Commissioner Reuben Izeze, included other senior officials and representatives from the contractor, Julius Berger.

Izeze stated the visit was a pre-handover check to identify any final issues before the project’s formal takeover by the state. He expressed satisfaction with the construction quality.

The flyover is already open to traffic. Only minor finishing works, like street lighting, remain outstanding.

Agriculture Commissioner Val Arenyeka noted the project will ease traffic and improve the transport of farm goods to urban markets, supporting the state’s food supply.

The flyover is expected to significantly reduce congestion and improve safety and economic activity in the Effurun area.
