Delta Govt Begins Payment of 2024/2025 Students’ Bursary March 10

The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has announced that the disbursement of the 2024/2025 Students Special Assistance Scheme, popularly known as the bursary award, will begin on March 10, 2026.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Godfrey O. Enita, disclosed this in a public service announcement issued in Asaba, stating that the payment is for eligible students of Delta State origin currently studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

According to him, only students who successfully completed the required registration and verification processes for the 2024/2025 bursary programme will benefit from the disbursement.

Dr. Enita explained that the scheme is part of the Delta State Government’s ongoing commitment to supporting the education and welfare of its students in higher institutions nationwide.

He expressed appreciation to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for his consistent support for students and his administration’s commitment to advancing educational development in the state.

The Executive Secretary noted that the bursary initiative aligns with the governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda, which places strong emphasis on human capital development and educational advancement.

He also urged beneficiaries to remain dedicated to their academic pursuits and continue to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and pride associated with Delta State in their respective institutions.

The bursary scheme remains one of the key educational support programmes of the Delta State Government aimed at easing the financial burden on students and expanding access to higher education for indigenes of the state.
